OTTAWA, Feb. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of
Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the
appointment of Mr. David Bromley to Ridley Terminals Inc., for a
two-year term.
"I am pleased that this talented individual has agreed to serve on the
board of directors of Ridley Terminals," said Minister Lebel. "Mr.
Bromley's strong engineering background and project leadership will
serve the corporation well."
For over 30 years, Mr. Bromley has been president of David Bromley
Engineering Ltd., a consulting practice that specializes in municipal
and industrial water treatment. Over the course of his successful
career, he has managed numerous community infrastructure and
engineering projects, developing strategies and new technologies to
treat a variety of industrial products from petroleum, medical and
plastic to factory waste.
Mr. Bromley holds a master of engineering from McMaster University, has
published many technical papers, and was a part time professor at the
Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and guest lecturer at Texas
A&M University in the United States. Mr Bromley is a co-author with the
United States Environmental Protection Agency on a book to be released
in November of this year regarding the world's use of water and energy
resources that has resulted from the symbiotic dependency of water and
energy. He has also served on the boards of Marshall Macklin Monahan
Ltd. and Clow Water Treatment Inc. and on the Alberta Round Table for
the Environment and the Economy.
Ridley Terminals Inc. is a federal Crown corporation that operates a
bulk-handling terminal for the efficient and reliable movement of coal
and other bulk commodities between trains and ships, on land leased
from the Prince Rupert Port Authority.
