6,350 TEU MOL Paramount calling on Port of Halifax

HALIFAX, NS. -- The MOL Paramount, the largest container vessel with weekly and direct service calling the Port of Halifax, made its inaugural voyage last week to the South End Container Terminal, operated by Halterm Container Terminal Limited.

The MOL Paramount was delivered to MOL in 2005, and has a nominal capacity of 6,350 TEU.


This new service connecting South China and South East Asia commenced on May 15 from Vietnam. The service is operated by MOL and “K” Line. Vessel sharing partners are Hanjin Shipping, Yang Ming Line and COSCO Container Line. MOL is providing two vessels and “K” Line is providing seven vessels.
