PALM BEACH, Fla. -- – BG Strategic Advisors announced today that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, a carbon offset organization.

BG Strategic Advisors is laying claim to being the first carbon neutral supply chain investment bank.

"Our supply chain clients focus on efficiency. They help more freight move through a fixed number of trucks, trains, and ships. As a result, they are already doing their part to reduce the carbon footprint of their supply chains. Now it's time for us to do our part," said BG Strategic Advisors' Managing Director Benjamin Gordon.

Carbon offsets enable individuals and businesses to reduce carbon dioxide emissions they are responsible for in their everyday lives by investing in renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects where they are most cost effective. Carbonfund.org works with over 300 corporate and non-profit partners including Discovery, Volkswagen, Dell, Orbitz, Environmental Defense, and Lancome.

BG Strategic Advisors specializes in providing CEOs in the logistics and supply chain industry with the tools to maximize their companies' value. BGSA has worked on several well-known supply chain deals, including the sale of Wilpak to Jacobson Companies, the PWC Logistics acquisition of GeoLogistics, the Unicity sale to PBB, the Air-Road sale to Reliant Equity, and many others.
